Features

Recovery Court Program Services

Prior to admission to the Recovery Court Program, the staff will administer the Tennessee Risk and Needs Assessment (TNRAS) and any other necessary assessments to evaluate the participant’s needs.

The TNRAS helps determine the level of risk and need. Each participant will also receive an individual assessment for substance use and mental health treatment needs, conducted by Helen Ross McNabb or Health Connect America. 3JDRS will work with licensed and qualified treatment providers, ensuring that all inpatient, residential, and detox treatment services meet state licensing requirements. Additionally, all transitional living units must be approved by the coordinator. Participants in the Recovery Court program will be required to complete all recommended treatment modalities.

These treatments will address both substance use and mental health disorders, with available services including:

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

The The 3JDRS program incorporates Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) as part of its treatment protocol for substance abuse. MAT combines medication with counseling and therapy to provide a comprehensive approach to treatment. It is particularly effective for opiate addiction and may be used alongside the Recovery Court Program for eligible participants.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)

Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) is a more intensive form of outpatient care, often beginning with inpatient treatment, and requiring a minimum of 9 hours of treatment per week, typically spread over 3-4 days. The program usually lasts 10 weeks but can be customized based on individual needs. IOP integrates evidence-based methods, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, experiential therapy, and 12-step approaches, to support participants in achieving lasting recovery from substance abuse.

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT®)

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT®) is a structured treatment system designed to enhance participants' ego, social, moral, and behavioral growth. It aims to improve decision-making and judgment by increasing moral reasoning. MRT is a requirement for 3JDRS participants, who must complete the therapy before graduating from the program. The timing of completion depends on the treatment provider.

Self-Help Support Meetings

3JDRS participants are required to attend self-help support meetings based on their phase in the program. Attendance must be verified using the One Step app, and any falsification will lead to sanctions. If participants attend more than one meeting per day, only one will count toward their weekly requirement.

Adult Education Program and Classes

3JDRS offers access to Adult Education Programs, including HiSET classes, for participants without a high school diploma or equivalency. Those who need to earn their HiSET must attend classes or tutoring while progressing through Phases 3 to 5. Proof of attendance is required, and failure to attend will result in sanctions or community service. Scholarships may be available for participants taking the HiSET exam.

Transitional Housing

3JDRS offers transitional housing for females (excluding pregnant women) with integrated wraparound services to support them in achieving long-term stability. Stays typically range from six to twelve months, providing a structured environment aimed at rebuilding lives. To learn more about our Ward House and the housing services provided, click here.
