What is 3JDRS?

At 3rd Judicial District Recovery Services (3JDRS), our mission is to support the 3rd Judicial District Recovery and Mental Health Courts and Recovery Support Program. Together, we strive to bring hope and healing to individuals and families affected by addiction to drugs and alcohol, as well as co-occurring mental health challenges.

We believe true recovery addresses the whole person—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

1. What resources are available if I or a loved one is facing criminal charges due to drug addiction or mental health issues?

3. Who is eligible for the Recovery Court Program?

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Be 18 or older with a non-violent felony conviction (B, C, D, or E) and a minimum two-year sentence.
  • Self-report a history of substance use and score High Risk/High Need on the TNRAS screening.
  • Resolve all legal matters in other courts or secure their cooperation.Voluntarily agree to participate and have approval from the sentencing judge, DA, and defense counsel.
  • Candidates with acute mental disorders may not qualify. For more details, contact us! 
5. How can I support these non-profit services?

Recovery Services of the 3rd Judicial District is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. Donate here.

6. What services does 3JDRS support?

This program provides comprehensive assessments and treatment plans tailored to each participant's needs. Services include:

  • Assessments: Tennessee Risk and Needs Assessment (TNRAS) and additional evaluations to determine risk, needs, and treatment requirements.
  • Substance Use & Mental Health Treatments: Medical detox, residential inpatient, IOP, 12-step support, psychotherapy, and family counseling.
  • Specialized Programs: Moral Reconation Therapy® (MRT®), aftercare, relapse prevention, and medication evaluations.
  • Housing Support: Assistance with transitional living placements approved by the program.

All services are delivered by licensed and qualified treatment providers. Participants must complete all recommended treatment modalities. For the full list of services, please visit our Services page.
